  1. Your parents probably paid for you to be escorted to the gate and on the plane. As well as taken off the plane and taken to your family at your destination

  2. Only United Airlines and Southwest allow kids 12 and over to travel alone as adults. On all other airlines you must be 15 to travel as an adult. so, therefore, unless you are flying on United or Southwest, your mom must call the airline and make arrangements for you to fly as an unaccompanied minor, and pay the fee for this. then, there will be someone assigned to look after you and help you with everything from the time you check in at the airport. I think you will have a great time.

  3. Oh flying by yourself is great every summer I go to New York to visit my godfather and I fly by myself. With me since I flew Continental Airlines,my mom checked me into the gate came with me because she paid extra to escort me and they put a paper band on my hand and boarded me first and they checked on me throughout the flight, when you land, a flight atttendant signs you off on a sheet saying you’ve made it or something and they will take you to where ever you are going to meet someone. I love flying by myself, its great especially when your not traveling with an annoying brother and sister.
