I rent my home, it is a side-by-side duplex. When I moved in a year ago, my landlord claimed she’d fix a number of things, including one big thing that is illegal to not fix (putting railings on our basement steps). She has not done anything about any of the improvements promised. My cousin (a lawyer) came over to visit one day and found several other things she needs to fix. We’ve had a fine relationship with the landlord in the last year and we don’t want to rock the boat, but we think it’s wrong for her to have forgotten for a year to fix these things. A few months ago, she called us to say that someone came to inspect the outside of the house (an insurance person? a city person? i don’t know) and that they ordered her to put a safety railing on the outside steps and that if someone was looming around measuring, etc, not to freak out. We’ve seen nothing happen from this either.
I want someone to come inspect the home and tell her what she is ordered to fix. Who would I contact?

I am in the very, very early stages of wedding planning, and I’m looking for some basic suggestions about wedding locations in/around either Erie or Meadville. We’ve pretty much already decided we don’t want a church wedding, and probably not an outdoor one. Therefore, we need some other kind of venue. I’d like for the ceremony and the reception to be in seperate “locations” but not neccesarily in completely different venues. Basically, I need suggestions of places like golf/yacht clubs, halls, social clubs, etc. I’m leaning more towards Erie than Meadville because I would love to be somewhere very near the lake (but again, not an outdoor wedding) My cousin had her wedding at a yacht club in Maryland that had huge windows that overlooked the Chesapeake Bay, and it was beautiful!! Any thoughts….
